Anyone try mysql 8 with Acumatica?
Running into COLLATION ‘utf8mb4_general_ci’ is not valid for CHARACTER SET ‘binary’ errors.

I suspect a change in the server default collations, but I haven’t found a workaround.

I have not but there is an article here: https://www.acumatica.com/blog/configuring-and-migrating-acumatica-data-to-mysql/

It mentions about the mysql8 errors. Hope it helps!

That is the same error I’m getting. Although Mysql 8.0 is on the “supported” list, it doesn’t seem to work. We’ll stick with 5.7 for now (which works well).

We’ve been using Google’s Cloud SQL version. It seems pretty fast, and is HA.
